Day 22 - April 5
Being Jesus with Others
Being Jesus with Others
Just by surrendering your body to Jesus to
be the instrument, the medium of his self-expression, you mediate his divine
life to others. You give your “flesh for the life of the world.”
The experience of doing this grows on you. It becomes a clearer and clearer mystical experience of acting in union with Jesus. All you have to do is make a habit of expressing your divine faith, your divine hope, your divine love in and through every human interaction with others.
Let’s make it even more concrete. What one, specific, even more concrete practice can you adopt that will “spark” this, keep you expressing faith, hope, and love through all your interactions with others? What is the nut that will fit your particular bolt?
Here is a very specific nut that just might fit your bolt: Form the habit of telling everyone you meet whatever you see in them that is good. You will experience Christ loving in you. Own the experience. Acknowledge it. Let Jesus express his truth, his love, to every person you deal with—all day, every day. This is what it means to live out—and live up to—your baptismal anointing as priest.

Stop
now and think. Does this make sense to
