Day 21 - April 4
In Everything We Do
In Everything We Do
Let’s get down to the nuts and bolts of
making this mystery part of your daily life and experience. You do that by
putting the mystery into practice.
How do you do this? You do it by deciding that, in every encounter with another person, you will make sure that everything you say and do is an expression of your faith. Or of the hope you have that is based on faith. Or of the love in your heart that is God’s own divine love for the person you are dealing with. That is not as abstract as it sounds.
Without saying anything explicit, you simply deal with each person as you would with your blood sister or brother. You find a way, even if it is through meaningless small talk, to make it clear that you see the person as more than just a functionary—as a person, a human being like yourself, with the same needs, feelings, and dignity.
The truth is, this is not just you expressing your faith. It is Jesus in you expressing his divine vision in and through your words, letting himself be “made flesh” in your human words and actions, making every encounter with others both ministry and a mystical experience.

Stop
now and think. Does this make sense to
me?
